The joke is that ya’ll had the nerve to invade 90% of the earth for spices and then not use a single one.
Well of course the English didn’t use the spices that they found. Originally the spicier the food meant the poorer you were. Spice was meant to hide the taste of rotten and moldy food. So the rich English who spread out across the earth wouldn’t be caught dead eating the food of the poor. So when they made their meals it was like this. And it has simply been passed down through generations thats all. There’s no need to judge us for eating like our ancestors. Obviously now spice is no longer only meant for the poor, but don’t pretend your better simply because your food “has more flavor” than ours.
